Participation in the Rural Montana Saves program can help you get more education and increase your financial know-how. Rural Montana Saves is helping qualified families save for college or job training. For every $1.00 you save, the Rural Montana Saves program matches it with $3.00. Save up to $400 and you will be eligible for the maximum match of $1200. Pluse participants may be able to access $1200 in "quick start" payments to begin an education or training program.
YOU MAY BE ELIGIBLE IF...
-You are a member of a household with annual income under a certain level.
-You are over the age of 18, and have at least one minor child living in your household
-You live in one of Montana'a participating rural counties
Participants are asked to commit to...
-Making a minimum of six monthly or bi-weekly savings deposits of at least $20.00 -Completing a personal finance/money management training and career and college planning -Maintaining regular contact with program representatives
